On January 28th, 1988…
At the time I lived in Manhattan, NYC. On Thursday January 28th at about 5 pm, walking toward my office on 19th and Fifth Avenue. I had everything I could want but a family. That afternoon, as I was walking through a sea of people who were traveling home during rush hour, I began to prayer and asked God to help find a girl. A girl who would love me, would love Him. A girl that would want to have children, stay home and take care of the family. A girl that sewed, baked and would teach our children to do likewise.
This October 2011, it will be 20 years we’ve been married. Below is the Manti temple where we were “married” or as we refer to in our church sealed for all time and eternity.

Here’s an example of Mikki’s sewing. Sofi’s costume was designed and sewn by Mikki. Here is our oldest, Sofi, our oldest, playing in Shakespeare’s as As You Like It, as she plays “Touch Tone” Spring Semester MSA 2010:
A Family Tradition: A family tradition is that each kid gets their choice of each meal on their birthday. Here was Gabe’s, our only boy, choice for one of his most recent birthdays: Homemade crêpes topped with blueberries, yummy!
Sofi’s birthday cake made by Mikki.
End of this post: 20 years married, four girls and one boy. Many meals baked by our kids; things sewn and crocheted by them too, and may blessings. Very grateful. Prayers answered.
